The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
CFOC's Doors of Compassion through the support of the Faith Family Church Christian Faith helps change lives and strengthen communities by creating places where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Using approaches that focus on trauma and individual needs, CFOC-DOC is dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness, poverty, or food insecurity.
We are the largest emergency shelter provider in Durham, with two locations in Ajax and one in Whitby. In addition to our shelters, we run a service hub and food bank to ensure people always have access to the support they need.
By working together and finding new solutions, CFOC-DOC aims to reduce stigma and fear, promote understanding, and build a community where everyone has a chance to achieve stability and independence.
You can help us do that by walking and fundraising with us through the Coldest Night of the Year set for Saturday, February 28, 2026. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those most vulnerable right here in our community.
