The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 28, 2026 - across the country, close to home!
Mission: Building a diverse and inclusive community that supports our shared dignity and well-being.
Vision: Every Person has a seat at the table.
Open Doors is the outreach ministry of St. Christopher's Anglican Church in Burlington, Ontario. We grow a vibrant and successful community garden that supports our meals and market programs. We serve over 200 delicious fresh meals weekly and operate a community market (food bank) for people to access food for their families. Open Doors also offers a free clothing store, Christmas Families and backpack programs supporting hundreds of children each year.
We are planning for the future and exploring efforts to create social enterprise opportunities that successfully support a thriving community.
Funds raised through the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk will allow us to continue to grow this good work, safely and with dignity and equity always at the forefront.
A walk in the park!
